New buildings being taken into use at Karlstad Central Hospital
The move into two new buildings at the hospital is now under way. Together they add
space equivalent to five soccer pitches.
One building will be home to X-ray, laboratories and wards and clinics for internal medicine,
while the other will house adult psychiatry’s closed wards and the county’s open clinics.
”This is a real boost for health care throughout the county – we now have the very latest
available technology, and we’ve planned the buildings so that we can work in them as
efficiently as possible,” says health care director Gunilla Andersson.
